Sunday Afternoon Poetry Group

September 22nd

Date details +

Involving the practices of Learning, Sharing and Awakening.  The groups activity is based on the book "Saved By A Poem: The Transformative Power of Words, by Kim Rosen.   This is open to everyone - knowledge of poetry is not required.  It is beneficial for each participant to hold and have read the book in advance but it is not necessary. The first gatherings will help us to find our way with discussion on how to go about personally choosing a poem to practice and the benefits of engaging in such a practice within a group of like-minded persons. The wisdom of the book describes that the true power, the real genuine awakening, results from the verbal expression and sharing of a poem with others.  This is the practice we will be sharing.  Anyone is able to participate at any point.

Bring along a coffee. -  The kettle will be on for tea folk.

To be held most Sundays 3-5PM at Shambhala, 120 LeMarchant Road. Some gatherings could be be rescheduled to an outdoor venue when sunshine allows.
